This t-shirt design is adapted from one of those covers, “Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers”, which was eventually published in 1930 on the cover of Modern Arcitecture, a compilation of lectures presented by Wright at Princeton University. In 1927 Frank Lloyd Wright designed a series of covers for Liberty magazine. These designs were considered too avant-garde by Liberty and were never used. The Square shapes at the top of the cactus arms represent blooms of the Saguaro, state flower of Arizona, which are seen throughout the grounds of Taliesin West, Wright’s winter home.
