Other than for his buildings, Frank Lloyd Wright is best known for his art glass designs and furniture. His philosophy of connecting the natural world and architecture is brought literally to light in his windows. Calling them “light screens”, he often incorporated architectural themes from nature with selected views of the outside world. This design from an early Wright drawing, with it’s graceful geometric pattern of flowers and lily pads floating on a tranquil pond, was never actually realized in glass.
