Frank Lloyd Wright worked on the Imperial Hotel commission in Tokyo, Japan where he designed everything from the building to the carpets to the dinnerware. With colorful circles that evoke images of overflowing champagne bubbles, this chinaware adds a relaxed element to a formal place setting. The Cabaret is reminiscent of several murals Wright created for Midway Gardens, whose designs also incorporated circles of different sizes and colors.
