This design is an epoxy design on top and a stainless card holder. The Coonley design was adapted from Queene and Avery Coonley, for whom Wright had designed an expansive Prairie house in Riverside, IL, in 1907. A proponent of kindergartens and other means or progressive education, Queenie Coonley sponsored a number of schools and decided to build one on their property. In 1912 Wright produced an assured concrete cube of a building that became known as the Coonley Playhouse because children were encouraged to give dramatic performances on its stage.
