This Epoxy design on top and stainless card holder was adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright's Famous Robie House, Chicago, IL. 1906. The noted architectural historian Henry-Russell Hitchcock wavered between calling the 1908 design an Airplane and "a great ship carrying the world of nature, as well as the world of abstract space, into the urban commonplaceness of Hyde Park." Here Wright's Verticals and Horizontals mingle to nourish the eye and the spirit.
Born in Wisconsin, USA, in 1867, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT grew up to be America’s greatest and most innovative Architect. His legacy is one of America’s foremost cultural treasures. In 1940, he established The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to protect, preserve and administer his life’s work. In 1991, Architectural Record magazine published a list of the 100 most significant buildings in the world - 11 were by Frank Lloyd Wright.
