Frank Lloyd Wright's first independent commission was the William H. Winslow house in River Forest, Illinois, 1893-94. A detail of the stylized plant forms ornamenting the thermometer, adapted from the conservatory window bay of the Winslow house, reflect the influence of Louis Sullivan. This thermometer has an antique patina finish. This Frank Lloyd Wright Collection product is authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Taliesin West, Scottsdale, Arizona. A portion of the sales of this product supports the conservation and education programs of the Foundation.
