A leader of the art nouveau movement, Charles Rennie Mackintosh won international acclaim for his architectural, interior, furniture, and textile designs. Mackintosh had trained as an architect but was also an accomplished artist. As an architect he wished to be responsible for all the elements of a project--furniture, carpets, wall decorations, light fittings, even cutlery and tableware. This control gave his interiors an intensely personal and coherent appearance creating powerful works of art. As an artist his paintings, particularly the elegant and graceful watercolors executed later in his career, bear witness to his mastery of design, fascination with pattern and the timeless appeal of the flower. This elegant address book features forty memorable images, including works by Margaret (Mackintosh's wife) and her sister, Frances, two renowned artists of the Glasgow style.

Our deluxe address books are hardbound, with a hidden spiral binding that allows them to lie absolutely flat. Forty full-color reproductions complement information pages with room for 480 names, addresses, home and business telephone numbers, cell/pager, and e-mail addresses. A lovely gift.
